I’m Joe Tamponi, and I’m not an Italian-American baseball player as my name can suggest.

I’m a freelance illustrator from Sardinia (Italy), inspired by skateboarding, surfing, punk rock art from 80s/90s.

I grew up skateboarding & surfing a little bit, inspired by the graphics from Zero Skateboards, Fallen Footwear, Mystery Skateboards, (basically all the Jamie Thomas kind of stuff) and of course Santa Cruz Skateboards and many of the NHS products. But I’ve always been fascinated by the psychedelic art from 60s-70s, the stunning Work of Wes Wilson and Stanley Mouse for example.

I worked with clothing brands, coffee roasters, craft beer producers, skateboard brands and musicians. In 2021 I started selling my digital art as NFTs having some big collectors such as Cozomo de Medici & XCOPY, in 2022 I’ve participated to the LUMINESCENCE collective art show in New York City held by Portion. In the same year, I take part with a physical piece painted on wood for the Diet Warhol Collective show held by Kii Arens in his La La Land Gallery in Hollywood.
